Biography
Welcome to you visitor of my universe. I introduce myself Florence or my artist name Metisse. I invite you through this biography to discover where I come from, who I am and how today I became a painter. Ready ?
I am the fruit of parents from Réunion, a small island located in the middle of the Indian Ocean, characterized by its interbreeding and multicultural mix. An Island with a strong identity, breathtaking landscapes, some of which are even listed as Unesco heritage. A small earthly paradise ...
As far back as I can remember, I have always felt a particular vibration deep within me in the artistic realm. This vibration was able to manifest itself in different fields such as dance and music. I followed a so-called "Classic" education, Baccalaureate, BTS and I worked for several years, always with an inexplicable desire to do something else in my heart, but what?
The more the years went by, the more I felt that I had or could do other things. Curious by nature and always in the process of creating and finding new ideas, I felt that I was attracted like a magnet by Art ...
And there, we arrive at the moment when everything has changed and everything has become clear: confinement. It had been a long time since I had the opportunity to take a step back, and really think about what I wanted to do. The conclusion was that I was not fulfilled in my work, I took no pleasure in it and that it reflected on my private life. I had become without understanding it a woman imprisoned in an environment that no longer suited me. I had once bought a blank canvas that had been lying around in my garage for some time and taking advantage of the free time in confinement, I decided to try painting.
From the first brushstrokes, I felt my body and my soul boil, it was really intense.
In short: Revelation !!!
From that moment inspiration and Flashes automatically appeared as if they had always existed and my look at landscapes, art and the world was completely transformed. My paintings express my emotions and my hopes. Inspiration is a wonderful thing, it comes on suddenly and it is such a pleasure when it is expressed. After having had a first part of my life as Mr. and Mrs. everyone, I want to make the second part of my life, a life where everything is allowed and through my art bring emotions and vibrations that you need.
